Trunk or Treat at St. John’s
St John’s will host its annual Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 26 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 3220 Columbus St. Wear your favorite Halloween costume. Events at this family friendly event include apple bobbing, cookie and cake decorating, crafts, games and much more. The event will conclude with ghosts and goblins making their way through the church parking lot for Trunk and Treat. St. Stephen’s bazaar
St. Stephen the Martyr Church, 4161 Clime Road, will hold its 40th annual bazaar on Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will feature crafts, baked goods, door prizes and photos with Santa. For more information or to set up a booth, call Jo Jeffries at 279-5434 or Barb Sweetman at 351-0784.

Red Cross Blood Drive
Cypress Wesleyan Church, located at 377 Alton Darby Creek Road in Galloway, will host a Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, Oct. 27.  The hours of the drive are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE.  Walk-ins are also welcome.

Comet cadets host dinner
The Central Crossing High School NJROTC unit will host a spaghetti dinner on Oct. 26 from noon to 4 p.m. This includes salad, dessert and beverage. The event will be held at the American Legion, Paschall Post #164, 3363 McDowell Road in Grove City.
The cost per person is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. Tickets will be sold at the door. All proceeds go to the Central Crossing NJROTC unit. For more information, contact Sgt. Maj Bocook at 801-6536.

Boo on Broadway
Grove City’s Town Center will be transformed into a spooky destination from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 31 for Boo on Broadway.
This family-friendly alternative to Beggar’s Night is presented annually by Grove City Parks and Recreation. Area children can dress in costume to safely collect candy and other goodies from area business owners. A fortune teller and other chilling surprises will also be offered.Tables are still available for businesses interested in taking part in this event.
Broadway will be closed from Grant Street to Grove City Road; Park Street will be closed from the library to the first driveway west of City Hall. There will be no parking on these streets beginning at 3 p.m. Streets will close to traffic at 5 p.m. and will reopen at 9 p.m. For more information or to reserve a table for your business, contact Grove City Parks and Recreation at 277-3050.

FHHS class of 1988
Franklin Heights High School class of 1988 will hold their 20th class reunion Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the American Legion on Demorest Road. RSVP to falcons1988.com.

CCHS band dine-in
The Central Crossing marching band will host a dine-in at Wendy’s in the Georgesville Plaza on Oct. 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wendy’s will donate a percent of the profits to the band. Wendy herself will be there for the younger folks with balloons and prizes.

Fall band bazaar
The annual Grove City High School band bazaar will be Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grove City High School, 4665 Hoover Road. Trunk or Treat at Trinity United Methodist
Halloween fun will be for everyone who comes to Trinity United Methodist Church, 4850 Haughn Road, Grove City, on Oct. 26 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Adults who wish to participate should bring their vehicle with the trunk or back decorated and loaded with candy.  Children should wear a costume, bring a bucket or sack, and go from car to car to collect treats in the church parking lot. The event is free and includes hot dogs and the church at 875-7298.

Turkey dinner
The United Methodist Women of Grove City will hold their annual turkey dinner on Nov. 1 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Grove City United Methodist Church on Columbus Street. The cost is $8.50 for adults; $4 for children ages 4-11; children under 3 eat for free. Carry-out is available. For tickets or more information, contact the church at 875-5612.

Ready wrestling
Bishop Ready will be running a youth wrestling program for kindergarten through sixth grade students. There will also be a middle school team for students in seventh and eighth grade. Immunization clinic
The Franklin County Board of Health will hold an immunization clinic on Oct. 23 at the Jackson Township Administration Building, 3756 Hoover Road, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. The clinic is for children and adults. Choices at Trinity
The public is invited to attend a free informative talk given by a volunteer from Choices, an organization that deals with domestic violence and abuse. One of Choice’s greatest needs is for used cell phones that can be recycled for its clients; therefore, attendees are urged to bring their old cell phones to donate. These cell phones enable victims to call the police if they are being stalked by their abuser.  This event will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 4850 Haughn Road, Grove City on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. The church will provide light refreshments and nursery care.
