On May 14, 21 Madison County moms-to-be and new moms and their families enjoyed the 6th Annual Community Baby Shower held in West Jefferson and hosted by the Healthy Child and Family Consortium.

The following agencies handed out educational literature and advice to educate moms on everything from breastfeeding to safe sleeping for babies and car seat safety: WIC, Action for Children, Early and Regular Head Start Programs, the Rocking Horse Center, Madison County Public Health, EMS, and the Mental Health and Recovery Board.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints handed out inspirational family information, and Amanda Stidham Photography provided photos for the moms.

Bridges Community Action and United Healthcare donated the raffle prizes, and Lifepointe Family Center of London provided diapers, wipes and a baby outfit.

Flyers Pizza and Sweet Madeline’s Vintage Bakery, both of West Jefferson, and United Health provided food.
