Sarah Malone (center), 10, and her parents, Amy and Mike Malone, celebrate completion of the 2nd Annual Jonathan Alder Color Run with a colorful powder shower. Sopohomores from Jonathan Alder High School squirted the Malones and dozens of other Plain City area residents with diluted food coloring along the 5-kilometer course at Pastime Park. At the finish, runners and walkers added several more layers of color with the powder packets. Held May 5, the run benefited Jonathan Alder’s Class of 2020. (Sarah’s brother, Luke Malone, is a member of the class.) Proceeds go toward prom and activities for the students’ senior year.
Yusif Ayoub, a sophomore at Jonathan Alder, was the first runner across the finish line.
Adding one more layer of color are: (from left) Jonathan Alder students Riley Ernst, Caityln Laycock, Margaret Marando, Kaitlyn Vaughn, Maya Geringer and Brogan Gehring.
