Coin commemorates stands

Mark Cowan, vice president of Stanley Electric in London, tosses a coin to start the 2008 football season on Aug. 22 in front of a packed house at Madison-Plains. Stanley Electric played a huge part financially in making the new stands possible.
 
The specially made coin (at right) commemorated the school’s dedication of new home stands. A total of 300 coins were minted; they are $10 each. Call Steve Adams at 740-852-0787 or Chris Clark at 852-0364 to purchase one. 
 
Madison Plains Principal Chris Clark (far right ) was among several people recognized before the Aug. 22 football game for the time, effort and money that was invested in the stadium project. Clark is a member of the Golden Eagle Complex Renovation Committee.

Madison Plains Quarterback, Kyle Stone got the 2008 season off to a good start, drawing first blood against Hamilton Twp in the Aug 22 home opener with a 45 yard touch down run in the 1st quarter. The Golden Eagle senior would go on to rush for 74 yards and pass for 73,  in a loosing effort, falling to the Rangers 17 -10.
