Grove City’s 29th annual Homecoming Celebration marks the traditional gathering of Grove City High School alumni, community members, friends and neighbors to historic Grove City Town Center from 6 to 10:30 p.m., Friday, July 27.

At 6 p.m., the 2018 Service Above Self recipient will be honored in a short ceremony by Grove City Rotary members, City officials, family and friends at City Hall, 4035 Broadway.

Live entertainment features RockHouse from 7 to 10 p.m., performing a mix of favorites from the 1980s. The annual Homecoming Hall of Fame induction ceremony, by tournament coordinator Eric Saxton, occurs during the band’s intermission.

“Grove City is proud to welcome friends and families who gather each year for this annual reunion,” said Mayor Richard “Ike” Stage. “This tradition remains a true example of our community’s small-town charm.”

A variety of food trucks and Town Center restaurants offer concessions during the event.

Watch or participate in the 11th annual Homecoming Cornhole Tournament from 6 to 8 p.m., hosted by city councilman Ted Berry. Registration is $40 per two-person team, with a first-place prize of $200 and $100 for second place. Forms are online at GroveCityOhio.gov or available for pick up at City Hall, 4035 Broadway, or Parker’s Tavern, 3998 Broadway.
