City of Groveport finance department honored

The city of Groveport’s finance department received the Auditor of State Award with Distinction from the State Auditor David Yost. Tim Kraft of the auditor’s office said it is the highest award the auditor gives to finance departments. “Our office audits 5,800 entities and less than 5 percent receive this award,” said Kraft. In a letter to the city, Yost said Groveport filed timely financial reports and received clean audit reports from the state.
