Groveport United Methodist Church, 512 Main St, will host a holiday cookie/candy sale on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. Homemade holiday cookies and candy will be available for purchase.
Dinner with Santa
Have dinner with Santa Claus at the Groveport Recreation Center, 7370 Groveport Road, on Dec. 3 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $6 per person. Register from Nov. 1-27. For information call (614) 836-1000, ext. 1505.
Santa’s calling
Children ages 3-12 may receive a free phone call from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus this year. Pick up a registration form at the Groveport Recreation Center, 7370 Groveport Road, by Dec. 11. One phone call per family. Phone calls will be made either Dec. 13 or Dec. 14 between 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Swim with Santa
Join Santa Claus for a swim in the Groveport Recreation Center’s indoor pool, 7370 Groveport Road, on Dec. 11 from 4-6 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $6 per person. Register through Dec. 9. For information call (614) 836-1000, ext. 1505.
Santa’s mailbox
Santa’s mailbox will be in front of Groveport Town Hall, 648 Main St., until Dec. 19. Include a stamped, self addressed envelope to receive a reply.
Sweet Adeline concert
A free “Sweet Adeline Holiday Concert” will be held Dec. 11 from 6-7 p.m. at Groveport Town Hall, 648 Main Street. For information call (614) 836-3333.
Santa to visit Groveport
Santa Claus will arrive on a fire truck at Groveport Town Hall, 648 Main St., on Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. to light the town’s Christmas tree and visit with children. There will be refreshments and an ice sculpting demonstration where your child will be able to get their name carved in ice. Bring the Farm to You will be with there to help children make a wool ornament or placemat. Stop and “shop” at the Secret Santa “store” with a donation of money or can goods to benefit Groveport Madison Center for Human Needs and Groveport Food Pantry. For information call (614) 836-3333.
Striped paper straw wreath
Make a beautiful wreath to display on Dec. 3 at Groveport Town Hall, 648 Main St., from noon to 2 p.m. Cost is $8 resident and $10 non-resident. Call (614) 836-3333 to register and pay by Dec. 1.
Gingerbread Christmas tree
Make a gingerbread Christmas tree with Danyel from Cake Décor on Dec. 13 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Groveport KidSpace, 630 Wirt Road. For ages 5 & up. All supplies are included. Adult participation is required. Cost $12 resident and $14 nonresident. Call (614) 836-3333 to register by Dec. 9.
Winter Break Camp
Groveport Town Hall’s free Winter Break Camp for grades 1-6 will be held from Dec. 27-30 from 1-3 p.m. Call (614) 836-3333 to register by Dec. 21.
Madison Twp. Santa parade
Madison Township will hold its annual Santa Parade at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 11 in Blacklick Estates. Following the parade join Santa at Groveport Madison Middle School North for refreshments and prizes.
