Madison Health’s security department, as well as local emergency medical technicians and paramedics, are participating in a safety lecture with MedFlight to discuss the appropriate protocol with approaching a helicopter and receiving/discharging a patient.
Following the MedFlight safety lecture, hospital staff, community members and their families are invited to meet a flight crew and get an up-close look at a MedFlight helicopter. The event will take place at 1:45 p.m. April 11. The flight crew will be available to answer questions and explain critical care transportation.
To commemorate the official affiliation with The James Cancer Network, Madison Health will host an open house at 9 a.m. April 15. Representatives from both facilities will be on-site to unveil signage and greet guests.
