The Bell Ringer Award, presented each year by the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, recognizes an individual who best exemplifies the Chamber’s mission and values. The Chamber was founded in 1959 with the mission to enhance the economic, civic, and cultural growth of Madison County and to act as a voice of the business community.
This year, the Chamber presented the Bell Ringer Award to Patrick Closser, London mayor and owner of Casey’s Carryout and Drive-Thru. Closser has given of his time, efforts, and resources for the betterment of the community.
“Patrick’s commitment to making positive changes, his dedication, and his passion for helping others are truly the characteristics we look for when naming our Bell Ringer Award,” said David Kell, the Chamber’s executive director.
Closser was born and raised in London. He has owned and operated Casey’s Carryout and Drive-Thru for nearly 20 years and was elected mayor of London in 2016. He continues to serve the people of London in this capacity. He also devotes countless hours to volunteering and serving on the Chamber board, all while making time for his wife and son.
