More than 100 members of the Grove City community gathered at Concord Cemetery on Dec. 18 to participate in Wreaths Across America, a nationwide commemorative event whose mission is to remember this country’s fallen veterans, honor those who serve, and teach the next generation the value of freedom. Among those who laid wreaths at the graves of deceased veterans were members of the NJROTC program at Central Crossing High School. Pictured here saluting the final resting place of Korean War veteran William Ballard is senior cadet Nicholas Orellana.

The Wreaths Across America event at Concord Cemetery was organized by Melissa Kindler, the school’s NJROTC Booster Club president, her husband Dave Kindler, and daughter, cadet Kaleigh Jamison.
Members of the Color Guard post the colors at a short ceremony held before the event.
