Groveport Garden Tour visitor Marilyn McLinn pauses for a moment to admire a trellis covered in a majestic display of clematis in Mariann and Joe Stewart’s gardens where their “Southern Villa Arboretum” was established by the couple in 2009 in Newport Village in Groveport. The Groveport Garden Club’s garden tour was held June 25 with tour sites at various locations in and around Groveport.
Bursts of brilliant colors greeted visitors to the Groveport Garden Club’s June 25 garden tour like this Tallman Street garden that featured an English country garden design with perennials and annuals filling beds and containers.
Mariann Stewart pauses for a moment while visitors explore her garden during the June 25 tour of six gardens throughout Groveport. The Stewart’s lush landscaping includes over 175 dwarf conifers on their quarter-acre property and crepe myrtle shrubs, typically a southern plant, thriving in their Ohio backyard.
Walkways lined with plants, trees and shrubs line the walkways winding their way through the Stewart’s backyard, creating a green haven in the Newport Village development.
