Grove City Mayor Richard “Ike” Stage had plenty of help to plant a pecan tree for his Arbor Day proclamation. The tree planting ceremony was part of the city’s Earth Day Celebration, held April 23 at Fryer Park. The event featured a variety of activities and educational booths designed to celebrate the natural world.
One of the most popular attractions at the Grove City Earth Day Celebration was The Bugman, (aka Mark Berman). Here, he shows 2-year-old Blake Barnes a large tarantula.
Here, 7-year-old Lincoln Stallings of Grove City got an up close look at a silver preying mantis.
