Children enjoyed a fun-filled day at Blacklick Woods in Reynoldsburg Sept. 27 during the Blacklick Creek Celebration. (Left) Mathias Harris, 3, of Canal Winchester checks out some creek fish that were caught earlier that morning to educate the kids on creek life. Harris attended the event with his gradmother, Barbara Block of Reynoldsburg.
Francisco Soto, 8, of Columbus, participates in a fish painting activity. Upcoming activities at Blacklick Woods includes a "Preschoolers: Creature Costumes" event at 10 a.m. Oct. 8 in which children can learn how animals protect themselves by taking on the appearance of their surroundings or other animals, and a "Weird N’ Wild" event at 10 a.m. Oct. 11 in which visitors can examine the strange side of nature.
