The city of Canal Winchester announced that organizers of the 57th annual bicycling tour known as TOSRV (Tour of the Scioto River Valley) chose Canal Winchester as the launch and return site for the 2018 cycling tour on May 19 and 20.
The two-day, 200-mile ride will begin and end at Canal Winchester’s historic “Queen of the Line” train depot, located at Oak and North High streets in downtown Canal Winchester. A post-ride celebration will take place nearby at the BrewDog DogTap, 96 Gender Road, where riders will enjoy special offerings to commemorate their accomplishments.
Since its inception in 1962, the tour has developed a loyal rider base and has recently seen an upswing in participation. According to TOSRV Director Lisa Daris of Columbus Outdoor Pursuits, the non-profit organization that manages the event, over 1,000 riders are expected to participate in the nation’s longest-running tour next year.

If memory serves me correctly, isn’t Canal Winchester the home of the Siples, Charles, Greg and Doug who formulated and started TOSRV bacj in 1962?
