
Groveport Madison High School senior track sprinter Sean Callahan broke the school record in the 100 meter dash with 10.67 seconds at the Ohio Capital Conference finals in May, just one day after he was crowned Prom King. The old record of 10.75 seconds was set by Dontell Higgins in 2009. It was Callahan’s third school record this season. At the regional prelims, he qualified for the regional finals in the 100 meter dash with another new school record of 10.53 seconds. In the regional finals, Callahan finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.6 seconds to qualify for the state track meet in early June at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. At the state meet Callahan finished seventh in Division 1 in the state. Also at the state meet, the Groveport Madison boys 4×100 relay team finished fourth in Division 1 in the state. Relay team members are Thomas Andrews, Raishad King, Marcus Davis, and Sean Callahan.
