The London Rotary Club is pleased to honor senior Caleb White as Madison-Plains High School’s May Student of the Month.
Students of the month are selected by school administrators based on their academic and extracurricular achievement and positive character.
Caleb has a 3.69 grade point average, ranking him 13th in his class. His favorite class is civics. Caleb has been on the basketball team all four years of high school and has been involved with powerlifting for three years. He has been a member of FFA throughout high school and earned an academic letter and pin.
When asked to name a Madison-Plains staff member inspires him, Caleb named civics teacher Tobi Briggs.
“I can always count on her to answer any question I have, write a recommendation letter, or go to her if I am having a bad day,” he said.
Regarding Caleb, Briggs said, “Caleb is a wonderful young man who works extremely hard and always wants to give his best effort in everything he does, from academics to athletics. He has been a role model for the younger students here at Madison-Plains with the way he conducts himself in the classroom, walking the hallways, or on the basketball court. I was honored to teach Caleb for two years, and I enjoyed having him in class. Whatever he decides to do, I know he will be successful.”
After graduation, Caleb plans to attend Columbus State University for an associate’s degree, then transfer to Ohio State University for a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Caleb is the son of Stacey Stoffer and Tim White.
