Brennan sworn in as Bexley mayor

Brennan takes oath of office

Bexley’s mayor-elect, John Brennan, was joined by wife Ann, daughter Catherine (16), sons Ryan and Kevin as he was sworn in by Hilliard Mayor Don Schonhardt. Brennan is leaving his post as Hilliard parks and recreation director to succeed David Madison as mayor. He had worked for the Bexley parks and recreation department from 1973-89 and was excited to start his service as mayor with the Dec. 27 ceremony at Jeffrey Mansion. Brennan served on Bexley’s City Council from 1988-95 and was Council President from 1994-95.
