Breakfast with Santa

Riley Burrows, 7, and her 4-year-old sister, Raegan, enjoyed a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at a Breakfast with Santa event, held on Dec. 10 at the Prairie Township Community Center. This event started three years ago and has gained popularity each year. The community center held two breakfasts on Saturday morning, where Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted about 50 children at each seating. I-HOP donated pancakes for the event.
Not only did Santa treat the local children to a story during the breakfast event, but they also had a sing-a-long.
Guests to the Prairie Township Community Center Breakfast with Santa event were treated to Christmas carols by the Westland High School Choral Department. Students from the South-Western Career Academy also volunteered their time to help at the event.
