Aaron Garrett, an actor, filmmaker and former London resident now living in Los Angeles, is hosting a block party Sept. 1 in London to celebrate the premiere of his full-length feature film, “False Flag.”

Two years ago, Garrett spent several days filming many of the movie’s scenes at locations around Madison County. Many area residents appear in the film.

“Now the movie is ready for its red carpet premiere,” Garrett said.

The block party is set for 4-7 p.m. Sept. 1 on Main Street between First and Second streets. A screening of “False Flag” will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the London State Theater, 67 S. Main St. Tickets to the screening are $15 and available for purchase now at the theater.

The block party is free and open to the public and will feature live music, photo booths, Army trucks, raffles, food and vendors.

“This is a fun way to give back to a community that has continuously supported me. It will be a celebration of not just my film, but all people creative, artistic and entrepreneurial in and around central Ohio,” Garrett said.

“False Flag” is a low-budget, independent, action film that recounts the events of the night two estranged brothers attempted to reconnect and escape a small town seemingly taken over by martial law.
