Beautiful day to learn about safety

The Safety Expo, hosted by the the Madison County Emergency Management Agency and area first responders, took place Aug. 27 at the Madison County Fairgrounds in London.

Jacob and James Byers of Plain City help Jefferson Township firefighter Jacob Fife spray water on a fire house after going through an obstacle course to get to the fire hose.
Quinn Beachy, 5, of London wears her new bike helmet while riding through the bike rodeo. Sponsored by the Friends of Madison County Parks and Trails, the rodeo teaches bicycle safety lessons.
Members of the Central Townships Fire Department demonstrates the use of Hurst tools to free a victim from a car. They demonstrated the old-school hydraulic tools and the new battery-operated tools.
Jude Leone of Columbus sits in a London Fire Department fire truck. The curious 2-year-old pushed all the buttons to see if anything worked.
Inside the Eby Youth Arena, service agencies and vendors offered information and activities focused on Stranger Danger, seatbelts, emergency preparedness, family emergency plans and more.
