The Madison-Plains High School marching band competed at the 48th Annual Pickerington Band Festival on Sept. 24 at Pickerington North High School.

Pickerington Central served as the host and gave green ribbons to all participating bands to wear in memory of Dan McCulloch, Madison-Plains’ former band director and music teacher, who died in a car accident on Sept. 1.

At the band festival, Madison-Plains won the Mike Martin Esprit de Corps Award and the Cash Award. The Golden Eagles also placed first in their class. Bands from 16 schools took part in the festival.
