Police survey

What constitutes a reasonable response when a police officer has to decide how much force to use when a physical situation arises?

You can weigh in by taking part in a survey regarding the proactive steps to mitigate risk and for laying a  foundation for an aggressive defense by taking the Response to Resistance survey (RTR) at www.responsetoresistance.com. The research behind RTR has been used to defend officers and departments in over 260 cases nationwide.

The quick online survey includes a series of questions about what constitutes a "reasonable response" based on the actions of the subject. Subject actions range from dead weight resistance and failure to comply with commands to attempting to disarm and kill the officer. The survey taker is asked to rate the threat on a scale of 1-10 with the higher number viewed as the most serious. Over 40,000 officers and about 8,000 civilians have taken the survey.

For information contact Sherman@responsetoresistance.com or visit the Web site at www.responsetoresistance.com.
