Correction

In her "The Reel Deal" Oscar picks column of Feb. 25, Messenger movie maven Dedra Cordle erroneously mentioned that "The Departed" won best picture over "Brokeback Mountain" in 2007. However, it was "Crash" which won over "Brokeback Mountain" in 2006, not 2007.

"’Crash’ won the Oscar upset in the Best Picture category over ‘Brokeback Mountain’ in 2006, and ‘The Departed’ won over favored ‘Babel’ in 2007," said Dedra when made aware of her error. "Readers pointed out my mistake (practically all of Groveport!). Thank you all for reading and I’m sorry about the error."
