Chase Maynard, a senior at Jonathan Alder High School, recently signed his letter of intent to play football for Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Concordia is a member of the NAIA and competes in the Midwest League of the Mid-States Football Association.

Maynard said one of the reasons he chose Concordia is because the players and coaches made him feel like he would be a great addition to the program. His goal is to earn the right to be a starter on defense and to get a college degree. He is undecided on a major.

Maynard said he is passionate about football and will bring a strong work ethic and contribute maximum effort to the team.
