Alder names new head football coach

Brett Glass is Jonathan Alder High School’s new varsity football head coach. He replaces Steve Coates who resigned.

Glass previously served as the team’s defensive coordinator. He also coaches the junior varsity baseball team and teaches biology, anatomy and physiology. He was valedictorian of Jonathan Alder’s Class of 2003.

The school district received 50 applications for the head coach position. The field was narrowed to four from which Glass emerged as the district’s selection.

The other top candidates were: John Snoad from Gahanna Lincoln; Kyle Cutler, who is moving from Bishop Ready to Upper Arlington to be an assistant for his brother, Joel Cutler; and Derrick Katris from Columbus Briggs.
