Alder breaks ground May 13 on synthetic turf field project

(Posted May 9, 2019)

At 7 p.m. May 13, Jonathan Alder Schools will host a brief ceremonial groundbreaking for the synthetic turf field project at the high school.

Construction will begin in late May. The project is becoming a reality due to an outpouring of community support and several generous donors.

The groundbreaking is open to the public and will be the first opportunity for organizers, school representatives, and the public to thank some of the donors. Cake and punch will be served.

All donors will be recognized after completion of the project in August at a field dedication and community celebration and at the first home football game.

To accommodate the groundbreaking ceremony, the Jonathan Alder school board has changed its meeting time for that night to 5:30 p.m. As usual, the meeting will take place in Room 228 at the high school. Those who wish to attend can access the building at the D3 entrance.
