The London Rotary Club is pleased to honor senior Addisyn McPherson as Madison-Plains High School’s April Student of the Month.

Students of the month are selected by school administrators based on their academic and extracurricular achievement and positive character.

Addisyn has a 3.95 grade point average, ranking her fourth in her class. Her favorite course is Intro to Performing Arts. Addisyn has been a member of the varsity girls’ soccer team for three years, and she has served as captain. She also has participated in varsity track and field all four years of high school, and she has served as a captain for that team, as well. Additionally, she has been involved with student council.

When asked which Madison-Plains staff member inspires her, Addisyn named art teacher Katie Manns-Dressback.

“Mrs. Manns-Dressback is an inspiration to me because she has shown me how to be successful in the real world and how to be a light to people around me,” Addisyn said.

Regarding Addisyn, Manns-Dressback commented, “I have found Addisyn to be a wonderful role model for other students. Her creativity, big heart, and personality shine through in everything she does. I feel very blessed to have gotten to know this wonderful senior, and I’m excited to watch all her future accomplishments.”

After graduation, Addisyn plans to attend nursing school. She is the daughter of Todd and Kristin McPherson.

The London Rotary Club has a proud history dating back to 1929. It is a member of Rotary International, a volunteer organization of 1.2 million businesses and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build good will and peace.
