The London Rotary Club is pleased to honor senior Addison Tesi as Madison-Plains High School’s March Student of the Month.
Students of the month are selected by school administrators based on their academic and extracurricular achievement and positive character.
Tesi has a 3.894 grade point average. Her favorite course is Chemistry II. She was a captain of the girls’ soccer team. Her sophomore year, she was the leading rebounder on the girls’ basketball team. She also was a varsity cheerleader. She is a member of the National Honor Society.
When asked to name a school staff member who inspires her, Tesi named French teacher Beatrice Omwomo.
“She always pushes me to do my best, and she always has a great attitude and loves what she does,” Tesi said.
Regarding Tesi, Omwomo stated, “During the four years that I have been honored to teach Addison, she has proved that determination and zeal leads to success. She identifies her goal–academic or extracurricular–pursues it with discipline and self-confidence, and does her best always. Addison is brilliant, diligent, optimistic and reliable.”
After graduation, Tesi plans to attend the University of Cincinnati and major in health sciences (pre-medicine). She is the daughter of January Reilley and Shawn Tesi.
The London Rotary Club has a proud history dating back to 1929. It is a member of Rotary International, a volunteer organization of 1.2 million business and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build good will and peace.
