Columbus Police officers partnered with volunteers to provide food and some Valentine’s Day sweetness to dozens of people in need.

In a partnership facilitated by Starfish Assignment, volunteers from Sahara-Columbus collected and bagged items to be delivered by officers. The bags were decorated by children of Sahara volunteers.

Sahara-Columbus donated 30 blessing bags for individuals experiencing homelessness, 200 treat bags for kids, and 30 meal bags for families.

Officers picked up the bags at the academy on Hague Avenue then delivered the bags to families in the neighborhoods they serve.
