A Stem Star in Grove City

Dr. Lora Thrun, a 1987 graduate of Grove City High School, was presented with the 2020 COSI Stem Star Award on Sept. 21. The director of engineering at Tosho SMD was recognized for her dedication to “developing new technology and products” and for “supporting STEM values and vision through mentoring young engineers and scientists.” In addition to the recognition, Thrun was also named the Grand Marshal at the COSI Science Festival, which will take place in Grove City May 6-9.
