Ceremonial Piper Jeff Linn plays the Great Highland War Pipes during the 123rd Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery Memorial Ceremony. Linn is dressed in a full Scottish Regimental Class 1 Uniform. “You can hear bagpipes from eight miles away and they were used to lead troops into battles,” he said. Also, when played at funerals the pipes were “playing to the heavens to gather the deceased ancestors so they would be there greet the deceased at heaven’s gates.”
