On June 14, the Aladdin Shriners welcomed Cycling Across America for Healing and Shelter organizer Dave Romero and his west coast-based bicycling team at the Aladdin Shrine Center in Grove City for a reception and overnight visit during the Midwest portion of their cross-country fundraising trek. Romero, a member of the Long Beach Masonic Lodge #327, and his bicycling team started their journey last month in California for a 45-day mission to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children and Masonic Homes of California, a charitable organization that builds homes for elderly members of Freemasonry. Romero said he was inspired to organize the California to New York ride as a way to give back to the communities that have supported him and his family throughout their own life journey.
