The Grove City community is invited to celebrate a full day of holiday spirit at the Grove City Christmas Celebration, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1 in the historic Town Center.
Activities are sponsored by the city of Grove City and Heart of Grove City (formerly Town Center Inc.). Don’t miss shopping, visits with Santa, live entertainment, the annual Christmas parade, tree lighting and more.
Shop for unique, creative gift items, decorations, artwork and treats to enjoy or share with others while strolling through festive market spaces. Included in the Mistletoe Market is a Secret Santa shop located in the Grove City Museum for children to purchase gifts to present to loved ones, a tradition of giving celebrated around the world. Mistletoe Market vendors offer holiday crafts for sale in City Hall, Grove City Brewery, Plum Run Winery and other Town Center businesses. From 2 to 6:30 p.m. in the George Edge Music Park on Broadway, children can meet Santa and parents can take their own photo or receive one for a $5 contribution to T.W.I.G. 184 benefiting Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Watch a sculptor transform blocks of ice into holiday icons from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Jackson Street and Broadway.
From 5 to 8 p.m., enjoy holiday entertainment at the stage on Park Street, west of Broadway:

•5:30 to 6 p.m. – Grove City High School Choir
•6 to 6:30 p.m. – Central Crossing High School Choir
•6:30 to 7 p.m. – Yuletide Brass
The Grove City Community parade steps off at 7 p.m. and winds through the Town Center along Wilbur Avenue, Columbus Street, Broadway and Park Street. Santa and Mayor Richard L. “Ike” Stage and city council members will hop off the parade route to light the community tree in the George Edge Music Park on Broadway.
