A Christmas Celebration in the Town Center

The Grove City community is invited to celebrate a full day of holiday spirit at the Grove City Christmas Celebration, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 in the Town Center.

Activities are sponsored by the city of Grove City and Heart of Grove City. Don’t miss holiday shopping, visits with Santa, live entertainment, the annual Christmas parade, tree lighting and more.

Visitors shop at Town Center businesses and Mistletoe Market locations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for seasonal, creative gift items, artwork, decorations and treats to enjoy or share with others while strolling through town. Don’t miss the Secret Santa shop located in the Grove City Museum, for children to purchase gifts for loved ones. Find a map of Mistletoe Market locations on the Heart of Grove City website at heartofgrovecity.org.

From 2 to 6:30 p.m. children meet Santa and parents can take their own photo or receive a print for a $5 contribution to T.W.I.G. 184 benefiting Nationwide Children’s Hospital, in the George Edge Music Park on Broadway. From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., watch a sculptor transform blocks of ice into holiday icons at Jackson Street and Broadway, meet live reindeer at the corner of Arbutus Avenue and Park Street, and enjoy holiday entertainment at the stage on Park Street, west of Broadway:
• 4:30 to 5 p.m. – Signs of Christmas (promoting deaf/hard of hearing awareness)
• 5 to 5:30 p.m. – Grove City High School choir
• 5:30 to 6 p.m. – Central Crossing High School choir
• 6 to 6:30 p.m. – Grove City Christian School choir

The Grove City Community parade steps off at 7 p.m. and winds through the Town Center along Wilbur Avenue, Columbus Street, Broadway and Park Street. Santa, Mayor Richard “Ike” Stage and city council members will hop off the parade route in front of the tree to lead the annual tree lighting countdown.
