9/11 ceremony to be held at Motts Military Museum

The Madison Township Fire Department in conjunction with Motts Military Museum will present the annual 9/11 ceremony at Motts Military Museum, 5075 S. Hamilton Road, Groveport, at 8 a.m. on Sept. 11.

Guest speakers include FDNY EMS member Stephen Spelman, Lt. Colonel Perry Blackburn (Fifth Special Forces Group, 12 Strong), and Dan Burrill (RN Alaska DMAT 1 Team).

The Groveport Madison High School choir will sing the National Anthem; Riley Cartmill and Alexander Poth will perform “Taps;” the Groveport Police will provide the 21 gun salute; there will be a Bell Ceremony; and a bagpiper performing “Amazing Grace.”

The museum will open at 7 a.m. that day and museum admission is free.
