Children and parents alike learned all about 4-H at Rally Night, held on Jan. 29 in the Della Selsor Building on the Madison County Fairgrounds in London. 4-H program representatives answered questions about joining one of the county’s 33 4-H clubs. Activities and information booths filled the building. Visitors also were treated to snacks. Perry Yoder from True Value Hardware in Plain City donated popcorn and the use of the store’s popcorn machine.

Mr. Puppet (Bob Abdou) of Columbus keeps the crowd at 4-H Rally Night laughing, using puppets, animated drawings and interactive games.
At the health and nutrition booth, Breanna McFarland (left), a 4-H Extension intern from Ohio State University, had participants pedal a bike equipped with a blender to churn fruit and juices into healthy smoothies. Elliot Randall (on bike), 9, of London enjoyed the activity. “I didn’t know you could use pedal power to make electricity to turn the blender,” Randall said.
