Groveport Madison High School junior Hunter Rathburn bowled a perfect 300 game during a recent Cruiser varsity bowling team match play practice on Feb. 3, according to Groveport Madison Athletic Director Steve Petros. Pictured here is Rathburn bowling the final strike to achieve the 300 game. Rathburn’s bowling average is currently 209, according to Cruiser varsity head bowling coach Chris Middendorf, and he has bowled on the team for two years. “In my four years of being the coach, there has not been a 300 bowled,” said Middendorf. “Hunter is serious about his game. He knows what his average is after each score. Hunter is either in the anchor position or in the lead off position where the strongest bowlers are needed.”
