Woman honored for contributions to Grove City

The Womens Civic Club of Grove City honored long-time member Ruth Sawyer Jividen at an Afternoon Tea held at St. Johns Lutheran Church May 12. Here, Jividen (left) is pictured with her friend Ann Reynolds. Grove City Mayor RichardIke Stage and State Rep. Cheryl Grossman attended the event and gave Jividen two proclamations for her contributions to the community. She will be 97 years old in June and is a descendent of Hugh Grant Sr., the first settler in Grove City. The tea raised over $1,000. Proceeds will benefit the Grove City Library.
