On May 17, more than 60 neighborhood youths joined Columbus Crew players Kevin Burns, Tom Heinemann, Sebastian Miranda, and FOX Soccer personalities at Rhodes Park to break in a new state-of-the-art youth soccer field. As a part of “Operation Community Cup,” local partners Columbus Crew and the city’s department of Recreation and Parks are trying to make a difference to young soccer players, by providing them with excellent equipment and an exciting experience.

"Operation Community Cup" has created Rhodes Park's first regulation youth-size soccer field. Starting this summer, multiple youth leagues will begin calling Rhodes Park their home field.
