Westland HS Key Club members recognized for leadership

Westland High School Key Club attended the 62nd Annual Ohio District Key Club Convention on April 16-17. 

At this convention, all of the Ohio Key Clubs participate in leadership, community service, and fundraising seminars as well as enter different service projects in contests between all Ohio Clubs.

The convention recognized the outstanding leadership and community service of individual Key Club members and club officers. 

This year several members were recognized in contests and for outstanding service.

Senior & Key Club Vice President Diana Lopez was recognized as the Outstanding Key Club Vice President in Ohio.  Lopez also received a trophy for second place in the Oratorical Contest where she delivered a speech she wrote on the topic, “Leadership, does age matter?”

Senior Edgar Rosas was recognized as an outstanding Key Club member for his participation in community service and the Key Club organization. 

Freshman Alfa Cruz Santos was awarded the Most Distinguished Outstanding Key Club Member of the Year. 

Key Club President, Sinai Cruz-Santos. junior, was awarded the Outstanding Key Club President Award for the entire Ohio District.

Key Club Advisor Melissa Kendralla was recognized an an Outstanding Key Club Advisor by the Ohio District.
