Westland students combine art and politics

On Feb. 7, State Representative Cheryl Grossman and two representatives from the Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation visited Westland High School to meet with students who were selected to represent the school on May 11 at the Ohio Arts Day at the State Capital. Westland was chosen to be one out of eight advocacy teams from across the state to participate in Ohio Arts Day. Students discussed their roles as arts advocates and what it meant to work with law makers and government to promote the arts.
