Club meetings for week of Dec. 5


Quilting group
“Quilting Ect.,” a newly organized fellowship handwork group, will meet at Brookwood Presbyterian Church, 2685 E. Livingston Ave., on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. in the church library.
 
Learning new skills, as well as practicing old skills, while enjoying the fellowship of others is the organization’s purpose.
Participants are invited to come with their own quilting, knitting or other handwork project, or explore the available materials and projects provided.
 
Susan Gooslin, an experienced quilter, leads the group and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. Participation in the program is free and open to the community. For additional information, call the church office at (614) 235-3451.
 
Pickerington Area Kiwanis
The Pickerington Area Kiwanis has changed the location of its luncheon meetings. The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at Romeo’s Pizza, 80 W. Reynoldsburg Democrats
The Reynoldsburg Democrat Club will convene every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Truro Townshop Fire Station, 6900 E. Main St. Refreshments will be served. For more information, e-mail jamesandlang@gmail.com.
 
NAWIC
The Columbus Chapter of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) will hold its Christmas Social and a brief meeting on Dec. 15 at the Ravines at Rocky Fork Clubhouse located at on Branscom Boulevard (off Warner Road) in Westerville. The Christmas Social will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a brief general meeting and a small gift exchange (under $15). Bring an appetizer/snack to share; non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. NAWIC is also collecting Christmas donations for Faith Mission. The Faith Mission wish list can be viewed at www.faithmissionofohio.org/wishlist.php. Reynoldsburg Civic Club
The Reynoldsburg Civic Club will meet at noon Dec. 7 at the Columbus Country Club, E.Broad St. Story teller Lynn Ford will be the guest speaker and Jean Dieckmann will provide devotions. Cathy Goodyear will serve as hostess, assisted by Irene Godfrey, Mary Lou Palmer, Rose Anne Snoke and Cynthia Wilamosky.
 
Women’s Republican Club
The Reynoldsburg Women’s Republican Club will meet at noon Dec. 9 at Scrambler Marie’s, 7970 E. Broad St. For information, call (614) 866-5170.
