Quilting group
“Quilting Ect.,” a newly organized fellowship handwork group, will meet at Brookwood Presbyterian Church, 2685 E. Livingston Ave., on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. in the church library. Learning new skills, as well as practicing old skills, while enjoying the fellowship of others is the organization’s purpose. Participants are invited to come with their own quilting, knitting or other handwork project, or explore the available materials and projects provided. Susan Gooslin, an experienced quilter, leads the group and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. Participation in the program is free and open to the community. Pickerington Area Kiwanis
The Pickerington Area Kiwanis has changed the location of its luncheon meetings. The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at Romeo’s Pizza, 80 W. Reynoldsburg Democrats
The Reynoldsburg Democrat Club will convene every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Truro Townshop Fire Station, 6900 E. Main St. Refreshments will be served. For more information, e-mail jamesandlang@gmail.com.
 
Reynoldsburg Truro Historical Society
The Reynoldsburg Truro Historical Society will hold its annual Card Party on from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 19, at the VFW hall, just north of Waggoner Road and Main Street. Violet Twp. Women’s League
Violet Township Women’s League will meet at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the American Legion Hall, 7725 Refugee Road, Pickerington. This month’s charity project is The Lighthouse. The group is always looking for new members so come join us. The members are volunteering to help with the Memorial Wall on display at the Legion in November.
 
Pickerington Garden Club
A program on “Cultivating Dutch Bulbs in Ohio” will be presented by Donna Dietsch on Oct. 20. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. and will be held at the Pickerington Public Library, 201 Opportunity Way. The library is located directly across from Pickerington Central High School. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
