Buckeyes move to No. 1

Ohio State University defeated Indiana 38-10 in Ohio Stadium on Oct. 9 and moved to No. 1  in the AP poll after Alabama lost to South Carolina.

Ohio Stadium is reflected in a sousaphone as The Best Damn Band In The Land performs their pre-game routine before the start of the OSU-Indiana game.

Ohio State’s Daniel Herron fights off the tackle of Donnell Jones as he heads to a 39-yard touchdown run to start the Buckeye scoring. By game’s end, Herron had rushed for 68 yards on 12 attempts and two touchdowns.


Ohio State’s Nathan Williams, with help from John Simon, stops the Hoosiers’ Darius Willis near midfield. The Buckeyes held Indiana to to 69 yards rushing.


Zach Boren leaps over the intended tackle of Adrian Burks in front of the Indiana bench before Leon Beckum brought him down on a 15-yard pass reception.


Ohio State’s Brandon Saine heads for the goal line to complete a 60-yard touchdown pass from Terrelle Pryor in the second quarter. Saine had four receptions for 84 yards.


Ross Homan reaches for the ball he tipped into the air before Brian Rolle (36) intercepts the pass from Indiana quarterback Ben Chappell in the second quarter.


Buckeye quarterback Terrelle Pryor meets with Head Coach Jim Tressel during a timeout. Pryor logged a career-high passing day with 334 yards and three touchdowns, with 24 completions on 30 attempts. Tressel reached the 100 games-won milestone with the Ohio State’s win over the Hoosiers.
