H1N1 vaccination clinics scheduled for Pickerington Schools
H1N1 vaccination clinics have been scheduled for Pickerington Schools.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that children and young adults aged 6 months through 24 years of age be vaccinated against 2009 H1N1.
The Pickerington Local School District has partnered with the Fairfield County Health Department to make the 2009 H1N1 Influenza Vaccine available to all students. The Fairfield County Health Department will hold vaccine clinics for students in grades K-6 during December and for students in grades 7-12 during January.
Healthcare providers from FCHD will administer the vaccine. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to students who have returned a completed parent consent form. Completed consent forms must be received by Nov. 25 to receive the vaccine at school.
Vaccines will be administered during the school day, and will be given only to current students of PLSD. The health department cannot accommodate parents or siblings of students during these clinics. Times will be determined by the Fairfield County Health Department.
