Plan to replace damaged Bexley sidewalks to begin
(by Rachel Scofield, Staff Writer - June 25, 2009)
Bexley's project to replace all damaged public sidewalks within the city should "start in the next couple weeks," per city Service Director Bill Harvey.
G & G Cement Contractors won the bidding for the contract with a price of $630,000, which was $170,000 less than the next closest bidder and $400,000 below engineers' estimates, City Council President Matt Lampke said.
G & G is a reputable company that has previously completed projects in Bexley, Lampke said.
Anyone interested in having their private sidewalks repaired while C & C is in their neighborhood, should contact the city at (614) 559-4200 or C & C at (614) 475-4151 to make arrangements.
