Wal-mart comes through for Bruins

For several years, Briggs students could keep up with announcements and happenings while in the commons area by watching close circuit flat screen TVs. In August 2008, the school had a break in and four flat screens were stolen. Unable to recover the TVs or receive funds for the loss, Briggs was faced with starting over in their efforts to put this type of technology back into the school. Principal Marcy Drafts and parent consultant, Wade Donahue, got in contact with Mitch Hall, general manager of the Wal-mart distribution center in Grove City. Wal-Mart delivered new flat screens to the school on March 26. Additionally, Wal-mart donated four Sony DVD players. Pictured above, Marcy Drafts, Steve Burke and Mitch Hall gather around the new equipment.
