Eastland Performing Arts Program to present 'Guys and Dolls!'
The Eastland Performing Arts Program at Reynoldsburg High School is getting ready to open the musical "Guys and Dolls!" This award-winning Broadway musical is full of songs and dances and has delighted audiences for decades.
Men in leading roles are Whitehall's Mitchell Harper (Nathan), Reynoldsburg's Matt Neumann (Sky), Brian Horne (Nicely-Nicely), Zach Alexander (Rusty) and Jordan Estose (Benny). Women in leading roles are Reynoldsburg's Sharon Kibe (Sarah) and Kristin Yarger (Adelaide). Supporting roles are being played by Amanda student Matt Stanley, Groveport's Kyle Hill and Reynoldsburg's Heather Rudisill, Tim Ellkins and Dan Stevens.
There are more than 100 students participating in the show with 20 students helping with the scenery and costumes, 60 in the onstage cast, 12 running the show backstage and even more in the orchestra pit. In addition, the musical will have a full orchestra conducted by Reynoldsburg High School's Brian Stevens, with student musicians and selected professionals from the community.
The Eastland Performing Arts production of "Guys and Dolls!" will be performed on March 27 and 28 at 8 p.m., with a matinee on March 29 at 3 p.m. at Reynoldsburg High School.
Tickets are $9 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for students.
The benefit for the Anita C. Miller Scholarship Fund will be held on March 26 at 8 p.m. with a reception before the show at 7 p.m. Tickets for the Thursday benefit are $12 with all proceeds going directly to the scholarship fund.
