Reynoldsburg budget finished, needs approval
(by Rachel Scofield, Staff Writer - March 05, 2009)
Reynoldsburg Mayor Brad McCloud and his staff have completed the 2009 city budget, which must go before City Council to be approved.
The city has relied on an interim budget until "the city auditor had time to compile actual year end figures rather than just rely on projections," McCloud said.
Per city auditor Richard Harris, the anticipated revenue for the year will be $13,454,864.
The projected budget "at this point in time" is $13,349,677, McCloud said.
"The biggest expense is the police department - as it is for probably all cities," McCloud said. "Their current budget request is $7,378,724 as it stands now. (This number) is obviously subject to change before final passage."
