Brooke Fleshman, 10, takes her friend’s goat Useless out for a walk during the Old Time Harvest Day at Fryer Park. Useless, who was a star attraction at the event that took visitors back in time, was rescued by Kim Kincaid and her family and resides happily on their farm in Grove City.

Connor Pfeiffer, 7, learns the art of corn shelling from Jim Heller during the Old Time Harvest Day event. Heller is a volunteer with the Southwest Franklin County Historical Society.

After taking a few people at the Old Time Harvest Day for a carriage ride, Aaron, the 22-year-old Percheron, basks in the attention and affection of children while coachman Dale Holloway looks on. Aaron made his welcomed appearance courtesy of Willow Wind, a carriage and limousine service company based in Springfield.
